Pipe Fitters / Welders

DIALOG Fitzroy Australia are currently searching for experienced Pipe Fitters / Welders to join our team to meet the demands of our growing workload and upcoming projects. This role is majority site-based work. The role is based primarily in Townsville, North Queensland, but successful applicants may be required to travel away for work.

Responsibilities:

  • Fitting & Welding of small & large bore pipe work in the workshop and on site
  • Storage Tanks Turnaround Work
  • Complete and understand work packs (material and weld traceability)
  • Minor structural steel fabrication / assembly & installation as required
  • Experience with bolt up & flange management
  • Able to work unsupervised and part of a team

Desired Requirements & Tickets:

  • Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication/Boilermaking)
  • Experience in the Oil& Gas Industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Weld in accordance with AS3992 ASME XI
  • Must pass multiple 6G Pipe Weld Tests GTAW/SMAW - 100% X-Ray
  • Proficient in GTAW/SMAW/FCAW/GMAW(STT) welding and general structural fabrication
  • Be able to read isometric and engineering drawings
  • A solid work ethic and can work in a team environment
  • Work at Heights current within 2 years
  • Confined Space Entry current within 2 years
  • A strong focus on safety - we will not compromise on this requirement.
  • Current Driver's License
  • Relevant Industry Tickets - Construction White Card
  • High Risk Work Licence (Preference for WP, LF)

Pre-Employment Requisites

  • Able to pass Drug and Alcohol Screening along with a Pre-Employment Medical
