Are you a seasoned professional with expertise in tendering and a proven track record of winning work in mechanical fabrication or industrial sectors? DIALOG Fitzroy Australia is growing and we are looking for a highly motivated Tendering Manager to drive our tendering activities and contribute to the continued growth of our business.

About the Role

As Tendering Manager, your primary focus will be preparing and delivering winning tenders, ensuring we meet client requirements while maintaining profitability. You will play a critical role in identifying opportunities, crafting competitive proposals, and leveraging your SMP knowledge of the mechanical fabrication or industrial sectors to secure contracts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Tender Preparation and Review: Develop detailed, accurate, and competitive tenders based on technical and commercial client requirements.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure tenders align with project goals and industry standards.
  • Strategic Winning: Lead tendering strategies to maximize our chances of securing profitable work, including identifying opportunities to promote Fitzroy Engineering's capabilities.
  • Industry Expertise: Apply your knowledge of mechanical fabrication (SMP), industrial services, and engineering standards to ensure tenders are fit for purpose and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, including operations, finance, and HSE, to ensure all tender submissions comply with statutory and safety requirements.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in tendering, cost estimation, or project management within mechanical fabrication (SMP) or industrial sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of engineering standards, fabrication processes, and industrial project requirements.
  • Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related discipline (preferred).
