We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Coatings Inspector/Supervisor to join our growing team. This crucial role will oversee numerous aspects of our coatings division, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for leading a team, managing schedules, and maintaining compliance with relevant industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of industrial blasters/painters.
  • Inspect and evaluate coatings applied to various substrates (steel, concrete, etc.) to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards (AS/NZS, NACE, etc.).
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Manage project schedules and resources effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures on site.
  • Train and mentor junior employees.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot coating application issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum NACE Level 2 certification or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Coatings Inspector/Supervisor in an industrial setting (minimum 7-10 years).
  • Strong understanding of various coating systems and application methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and industry best practices.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications and drawings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, d365 advantageous
