We are looking for an experienced and qualified Senior Civil Structural Designer/Civil Structural Designer to meet the need of existing clients and future workloads. This role is within our New Plymouth based team, and is a permanent role.

You will be taking the lead on:

• Preparing materials take offs / schedules of quantities for civil / structural projects
• Carrying out civil / structural designs and producing construction drawings
• Ensuring company and client expectations are managed appropriately on-time and within budget
• Directly liaising with Project Managers, Engineers and other Designers to ensure designs are within scope
• Proactively familiarising self with any relevant documents, including policies, plans, procedures, systems, contractual requirements, customer requirements and relevant previous designs

You will have the following skills and experience:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Designer
• Must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD
• Experience in the use of Advance Steel is preferred
• Experience in the use of ProSteel
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability liaise with Project Managers, Engineers and Designers
• Proven problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional customer focus to ensure client requirements are delivered
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering is an advantage
