Mechanical Coordinator

About the role

DIALOG Fitzroy Australia is looking for a proactive Mechanical Coordinator who builds strong teams, strengthens client relationships, and delivers safe, efficient, and profitable mechanical services. Skilled in resource coordination, WHS compliance, and supporting Project Managers to achieve operational and commercial success. This is a permanent, full-time role in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management. Build strong relationships through regular site visits, workload discussions, and proactive issue resolution to support ongoing and future work opportunities.

  • Resource & Equipment Coordination. Prepare work packs, plan labour and equipment, forecast resource needs, and ensure sites are staffed with qualified personnel.

  • Safety Leadership. Drive a strong safety culture through audits, hazard identification, incident reporting, and compliance with WHS and client requirements.

  • Project Support. Assist Project Managers with methodology, productivity, equipment planning, and overall project performance.

  • Mechanical Maintenance Oversight. Conduct inspections, ensure equipment certification, manage maintenance needs, and recommend improvements.

  • Documentation & Reporting. Maintain accurate timesheets, cost allocations, and end-of-month reporting for fixed-price and maintenance work.

  • Team Leadership & Development. Monitor performance, provide coaching, manage disciplinary processes, and identify training needs for mechanical trade staff.

  • Team Culture & Communication. Foster collaboration, resolve interpersonal issues constructively, and maintain clear, professional communication across teams.

  • HSE Performance. Support company HSE initiatives, ensure compliance, and participate in incident investigations in partnership with the HSE team.
