Dialog Fitzroy business is seeking a highly skilled and safety focused Mechanical Fitter & Pipe Fitter to join our team in Brisbane to work on Project work at our sites. This is a permanent position and will form an integral part of successful delivery across our portfolio. In this role you will be contributing to project work.
About the role:
Install mechanical plant (pumps, valves, pipework, rotating equipment etc.)
Fabricate steel pipelines, structures (pipework, platforms, supports, etc.)
Read and interpret drawings supplied by a supervisor or client representative
Complete good quality, accurate and quality works that comply with appropriate DIALOG Fitzroy management system processes
Follow written and/or verbal instructions provided by a supervisor client's representative
Care and maintain tools and equipment necessary to carry out all tasks
Assist immediate contacts with technical knowledge for design and fabrication issues
Maintain site and vehicle cleanliness
Work closely with Supervisor to manage the risk with Work Packages, ensuring timelines are met, costs are reduced and streamlined and that the contract terms and conditions reflect company policy
To be considered for the role, you will hold the following skills and experience:
Australian recognised Trade Qualification - Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
Experience working in Oil & Gas
Construction Industry Induction (blue / white card)
Work at Heights
Current Drivers Licence
Ability to work unsupervised
Deliver a high standard of workmanship
Demonstrated leadership qualities in the application of safe systems of work
Desirable skills and experience include:
Relevant Trade Cert
Confined Space Entry
High Risk Work Licence (EWP, LF)
Effective verbal and written communication capability
